Muxlicer
Muxlicer is an eight channel, CV addressable bidirectional analog switch and gate generator, divided into three main blocks: Digital Step Controller, Gate Generator, and Analog Switch (Mux/DeMux).572
Capabilities 8
- Analog Switchanalog-switch
- Bidirectional analog switch passing audio or CV signals. Each I/O can carry analog or digital signals in either direction.572

- Clock Out multiplies the internal or external clock by a whole number set via Speed Div/Mult Encoder.572
- Demultiplexer (DeMux)demux
- Routes 8 signals from Mux I/Os to 1 Common I/O (demux mode). Bidirectional analog switch.572
- Gate Sequencergate-sequencer
- Complex gate sequencer with voltage-controlled retriggering per step. Gate Mode CV input and Level Faders control per-step retriggering amount.572
- Signal Switchsignal-switch
- Routes 1 signal from Common I/O to one of 8 Mux I/Os sequentially (mux mode). Bidirectional.572
- Tap Tempotap-tempo

Jacks 25 — 14 in / 11 out
| Name | Signal | Voltage | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Inputs (14) | |||
| Address CV In | cv | -10V to 10V | Sets the active step via voltage. Range depends on Address Knob position: 0–10V (fully CCW), -5V–5V (middle), -10V–0V (fully CW). At 0V the full sequence plays from step 1 to 8.572 |
| All In | mixed | — | Any signal plugged here goes to all Mux I/Os that don't have a signal plugged in. Normalled to a voltage source for use as a default signal.572 |
| Clock In | clock | — | Synchronizes Muxlicer to an external clock signal. Advances steps on the falling edge according to Div/Mult setting. Plugging a cable automatically switches from internal to external clock and resets Div/Mult to 1/1.572 |
| Common I/O | mixed | — | Main bidirectional jack. Routes signal to Mux I/Os (mux mode) or collects signals from Mux I/Os (demux mode). Also acts as CV Out when nothing is connected to All In or Mux I/Os (sequencer mode).572 |
| Gate Mode In | cv | ≤10V | Controls gate behaviour CV input. Normalized to 10V (knob acts as manual control with no CV). When CV present, knob is an attenuator. Most usable range 0–5V.572 |
| Mux I/O 1 | mixed | — | Bidirectional I/O step 1. Can receive a signal to be routed to Common I/O (demux) or receive a signal from Common I/O (mux). Normalled to All In.572 |
| Mux I/O 2 | mixed | — | Bidirectional I/O step 2. Can receive a signal to be routed to Common I/O (demux) or receive a signal from Common I/O (mux). Normalled to All In.572 |
| Mux I/O 3 | mixed | — | Bidirectional I/O step 3. Can receive a signal to be routed to Common I/O (demux) or receive a signal from Common I/O (mux). Normalled to All In.572 |
| Mux I/O 4 | mixed | — | Bidirectional I/O step 4. Can receive a signal to be routed to Common I/O (demux) or receive a signal from Common I/O (mux). Normalled to All In.572 |
| Mux I/O 5 | mixed | — | Bidirectional I/O step 5. Can receive a signal to be routed to Common I/O (demux) or receive a signal from Common I/O (mux). Normalled to All In.572 |
| Mux I/O 6 | mixed | — | Bidirectional I/O step 6. Can receive a signal to be routed to Common I/O (demux) or receive a signal from Common I/O (mux). Normalled to All In.572 |
| Mux I/O 7 | mixed | — | Bidirectional I/O step 7. Can receive a signal to be routed to Common I/O (demux) or receive a signal from Common I/O (mux). Normalled to All In.572 |
| Mux I/O 8 | mixed | — | Bidirectional I/O step 8. Can receive a signal to be routed to Common I/O (demux) or receive a signal from Common I/O (mux). Normalled to All In.572 |
| Reset/One Shot In | trigger | — | During play: resets the count to step 1. During stop: starts a One Shot cycle (counts to 8 then stops). Useful for chaining Muxlicers in series via EOC Out.572 |
| Outputs (11) | |||
| All Gates Out | gate | — | Outputs a digital sum (mix) of all gate outputs. Useful as a single gate/trigger output when using Muxlicer as a gate sequencer.572 |
| Clock Out | clock | — | Outputs the internal or external clock divided or multiplied by a whole number. By default starts after Play/Play One Shot and stops when sequencer stops. Can be configured to run continuously.572 |
| EOC Out | trigger | — | Outputs a short trigger at the end of step 8. Only fires during play and not when step 8 is reached via Address CV. Useful for chaining Muxlicers in series or triggering envelopes.572 |
| Gate Out 1 | gate | — | 572 |
| Gate Out 2 | gate | — | 572 |
| Gate Out 3 | gate | — | 572 |
| Gate Out 4 | gate | — | 572 |
| Gate Out 5 | gate | — | 572 |
| Gate Out 6 | gate | — | 572 |
| Gate Out 7 | gate | — | 572 |
| Gate Out 8 | gate | — | 572 |
Parameters 13
| Name | Type | Range | Behavior |
|---|---|---|---|
| Address Knob | knob | 1step – 8step | Sets the active step manually (1–8, clockwise). At full CCW (or 0V CV), module plays from step 1 to 8 in sequence. Combined with Address CV In, allows voltage-controlled step addressing.572 |
| CV Range Switch | switch | — | Located on the back of the module. Changes the CV input range for the Address CV In to accept 5V CV signals.572 |
| Gate Mode Knob | knob | — | Controls gate behaviour for each step. Turning clockwise changes gate mode on the next step. Modes include: No Gate, Gate=Step Time, Half Step Time, Two Gates per Step, up to Eight Gates per Step. Normalized to 10V; acts as attenuator when CV present.572 |
| Level Fader 1 | fader | — | Attenuates the signal going from Mux I/O 1 to Common I/O. Also sets per-step CV level when used as sequencer.572 |
| Level Fader 2 | fader | — | Attenuates the signal going from Mux I/O 2 to Common I/O. Also sets per-step CV level when used as sequencer.572 |
| Level Fader 3 | fader | — | Attenuates the signal going from Mux I/O 3 to Common I/O. Also sets per-step CV level when used as sequencer.572 |
