CGM Channel (C)

The C (Channel) module is a discontinued mono channel strip for the CGM Creative Mixer system. Its signal routing provides VCA input gain, two effect sends (pre/post fader), stereo pan with CV input, a channel fader, and a direct output. CV controls are available for VCA level, effect send levels, and pan. Creative functions include Mute, Solo in Place, and PFL.593

Channel Fader	fader	—	Sets the audio signal volume to be sent to the Group module. Controls the amplitude of the signal going out to the mix.593
Direct Out Pre/Post	switch	—	Selects whether the Direct Output taps the signal pre-fader (upper position, red dot) or post-fader (lower position, white dot).593
Effect Send Pre/Post	switch	—	Selects whether the effect send level is pre-fader (independent of channel fader) or post-fader (relative to channel fader position).593
Level	knob	—	Controls the input VCA gain. When a CV is patched to the VCA Level CV Input, the knob becomes an attenuator for that CV. The VCA can go above unity gain, adding smooth saturation.593
Mute Button	button	—	Closes the main VCA, equivalent to turning the Level knob to zero. Mutes all outputs including effect sends.593
Pan	knob	—	Distributes the processed signal across the left and right channels for the Group module. CV input acts as an offset (not attenuator) — positive CV shifts toward right, negative toward left.593
PFL Button	button	—	Selects the channel to be sent to the PFL (Pre-Fader Listening) circuit on the Master module, allowing pre-fader monitoring through headphones.593
Send Level	knob	—	Two Send Level knobs define the amplitude of the channel signal routed to the group's effect sends mono outputs. Each features a CV input and a pre/post fader switch.593
Solo in Place	button	—	Selects the channel to keep active when the group is in Safe Solo mode. Channels with Solo in Place active are soloed; others are muted.593
