The Mimeophon is a stereo, multi-zone color audio repeater module by Make Noise and soundhack, coded by Tom Erbe. It morphs between Karplus, Flange, Chorus, Echo, Looping and everything in between, with full voltage control over time, space and color.230

Expects regular clock pulse of 2.5V or greater. When in use, RATE will synchronize to divisions/multiples of the Tempo. Usable range 0.25Hz to 50Hz (1 beat per 4 seconds to 3000 BPM).230
Un-attenuated doppler modulation destination. Tracks 1V/oct in Zone 0. Unity Gain. Linear response in Zones 1-7; exponential (1V/oct) in Zone 0. Affected by Skew in Zones 1-7; not affected by Skew in Zone 0.230
Trigger output containing an OR of both channels' rates. When SKEW is enabled, outputs clock pulses from both Left and Right channels ORed together.230

Press to Flip Repeats so they are heard in reverse. In medium and large Zones, reverses sounds upon playback. In the smallest two Zones, creates 'Total Protonic Reversal' distortion. Audio rate modulation of the Flip gate input in small Zones creates particularly interesting sounds.230

Press to HOLD Repeats indefinitely and non-destructively. No sound enters or exits the feedback path while held. All other controls remain fully active. Repeats control sets Repeat start point for currently selected Zone while HOLD is engaged.230
Halo

Sets Halo amount. Halo adds stereo depth and space to echoes, smearing excess sound around the edges of Repeats. As Halo increases toward max, halos get wider and denser, eventually injected into feedback paths. The Color parameter controls the timbre of the Halo.230

Mix

With nothing patched to Mix CV Input, sets Mix between Live Signal and Repeats. When a signal is patched to the Mix CV input, the combo pot acts as attenuator for that signal.230
Rate

Sets frequency of Repeats in current Zone. When Skew is on, Rate controls Left and Right Repeat frequency in opposite directions. Changes are continuous and fluid; modulation causes doppler effects. When Mimeophon is clocked via TEMPO, a slew-less crossfade achieves instantaneous switches between multiples/divisions.230
Sets number of Repeats from 1 to infinity. When HOLD is engaged, sets the Repeats' start point for the currently selected Zone.230
SKEW Button

Press to Skew repeats — Rate controls Left and Right Repeat frequency in opposite directions. Hold (when not skewed) to engage Ping Pong, which sums inputs to mono and bounces repeats between left and right. Hold (when skewed) to engage Swap, which swaps Left and Right feedback paths.230
Zone

Selects Zone. Current Zone indicated by Zone Window. Zones are nested from shortest to longest delay time. Zone 0 is the shortest; Zone 7 is longest (over 2000x larger than Zone 0). Incoming sound is always written into ALL Zones.230
