Shaka-4 VC Stereo Matrix Expander
Stereo Matrix Expander for the Shaka-8. Adds one additional stereo output column (L/R) to the Shaka-8 matrix. Must be connected to a Shaka-8 via 12-pin ribbon cable; cannot operate independently. Up to 5 units can be chained per Shaka-8.591

- Extends the Shaka-8 matrix by adding one additional stereo output column (L/R). Each of the 4 input rows gets an additional VCA crosspoint routing into this expander's stereo output pair, extending the matrix from 4×2 to 4×3 or larger with additional Shaka-4 units.591

- Each matrix point controls a linked L/R stereo pair with independent but matched gain on each side, preserving stereo image throughout the matrix.591
- Voltage-Controlled Amplifiervca
- Uses SSI2164 VCA chip for exponential/audio-taper CV-controlled gain at each matrix crosspoint. CV range 0–8V for unity gain, up to 0–10V for +20dB gain.591
