Capabilities

  • CV Modulation cv-modulation
4 CV inputs assignable to any effect or parameter of any voice: Pitch, Bits, Filter, Freeze, Start, Length, Env, Run, Levels/drive, Layers, T-F (trig freeze), V/oct. Range -5V to +5V. [26]
  • MIDI Control midi-control
MIDI TRS Type A input. Supports note triggering, pitch control, CC for effects, velocity assignment, pitchbend, program change for kit selection, and chromatic keyboard split over 2 octaves. [26]
  • Sample Player sample-player
4-voice sample player streaming from SD card and RAM. Each voice plays .wav files (16-bit or 8-bit, 44100 Hz, mono or stereo). Kits organized A0-Z99 (up to 2600 kits). Up to 12 layers per voice. [26]

Parameters (27)

NameTypeRangeMin FWBehavior
% COMPRESS menu_setting 0 – 200 [26]
ANTICLIC menu_setting Enables or disables a fast volume envelope that prevents clicks at sample start/stop. Disabling can produce a tighter sound when slicing drum loops. [26]
ASSIGN menu_setting Sets the 4 CV inputs to be assigned per kit (each kit has its own CV assignment) or globally (all kits share the same CV assignment). [26]
AUTOSAVE menu_setting When enabled, Rample remembers the last kit used and loads it again at power-up. [26]
BEND menu_setting Assigns MIDI pitchbend to control LEVEL, PITCH, BITS, FILTER, or FREEZE for all voices or individual voices SP1-SP4. [26]
Bits knob Two different bitcrushing algorithms based on sample rate reduction and resolution reduction. Produces distortion and warms up the audio signal. [26]
CHANNEL menu_setting Sets the input MIDI channel of the unit. [26]
COMPRESS menu_setting Sets the compressor preset model. Options: Glue, Peak Limiter, Slow Opto, Drum Transient, Punchy VCA, Leveling Amp, Parallel, Aggressive Limiter FET, Mastering. [26]
CV IN menu_setting Sets the input voltage range for CV inputs: either 0V to 5V or -5V to 5V. [26]
Env knob Turn left to add sample attack; turn right to add sample decay. [26]
FLIP menu_setting [26]
Filter knob Low resonance DJ-style filter. Cuts high frequencies (low pass) or low frequencies (high pass). [26]
Freeze knob When enabled (potentiometer not at midpoint), samples and loops a portion of the current waveform for repeat/glitch effects. Counter-clockwise (algo 1): short ping-pong loop. Clockwise (algo 2): longer loop as fraction of sample length, becomes glitchy at high amounts. [26]
LAYER menu_setting Sets the default layer playback mode: MANUAL, RANDOM, CYCLIC, REVERSE CYCLIC, or VELOCITY. Applied to all voices when loading a kit that has never been stored. [26]
Length knob Sets the duration of sample playback. With SLICER=EXP, duration goes from 100% to 0% of total sample length. With SLICER set to a division value, the sample is divided into equal parts for beat-aligned editing. [26]
Levels/Drive knob Turn left to decrease voice gain, right to drive signal. From 0% to 50% increases clean gain; from 50% to 100% applies additional gain with analog-style saturation. [26]
PITCH menu_setting Enable or disable chromatic note quantizing for pitch. Affects pitch FX when controlled via potentiometer or CV input assigned to pitch. [26]
PROGRAM CHANGE menu_setting Enables MIDI Program Change messages to change the kit number. [26]
PUNCH menu_setting Changes how listen+button combos behave for live performance. FX mode: temporarily activates effect across all samples. VOICE FX mode: temporarily activates selected voice's effects. Effects only trigger on voices with a positive or negative amount set. [26]
Pitch knob Resample engine based on a 6-pole interpolator. Range goes from -1 octave to +1 octave. Increasing speed yields higher pitch and shorter duration; decreasing speed yields lower pitch and longer duration. [26]
Run button 3 types of sample playback: one shot (trig plays entire sample), toggle loop (trig alternately plays/stops), gate high only (sample plays only while gate is high). [26]
SIDECHAIN menu_setting Selects one voice (SP1-SP4) as the sidechain source for the compressor. The sidechain source drives compression without being gain reduced. The other three voices are compressed and ducked. Disabled by default. [26]
SLICER menu_setting Sets the quantizing method for sample START POINT and LENGTH. Options include EXP (exponential, 256 parts) and divisions (/8, /16, /32, /64, /128, /12, /24, /48). [26]
Start knob Sets the beginning of sample playback. With SLICER=EXP, range is 0% to 100% of total sample length. With SLICER set to a division value, the sample is divided into equal parts for beat-aligned editing. [26]
TAPE menu_setting 0 – 127 Master effect. Applies LFO to sample playback speed with randomization of frequency and amplitude for vintage tape flutter/wobble/wow effect. Amount 0-127 sweeps LFO frequency and depth combinations. [26]
VELOCITY menu_setting Assigns MIDI note velocity to control LEVEL, PITCH, BIT, or FILTER. [26]
VUMETER menu_setting [26]
